We rarely think about what keeps a building up and running.

We walk through hallways, flip on lights, climb stairs, and assume everything will work. But hidden behind every wall is a network of systems quietly doing their job. Pipes carry water. Wires deliver power. Conduits, vents, and stairways connect each level.

Strip away the outer shell, and all of it would be exposed. Raw. Layered. Almost chaotic. Like an industrial salad of parts working together.

That idea sparked this painting.

The structure in this piece feels both deliberate and fragmented. Strong vertical and horizontal lines suggest the framework of a building, while blocks of bold primary color interrupt the softer background. Some shapes appear clean and precise. Others seem broken or incomplete, as if revealing what usually stays hidden.

The title, Industrial Salad, reflects that contrast. From the outside, architecture looks smooth and composed. Inside, it is a complex mixture of systems layered in careful order.

This piece invites you to look beyond the surface and consider the unseen structure that supports everyday life.
